Indian Classical Music has a Rich Heritage of over thousands of years. Dr. Vasantrao Deshpande Memorial Foundation has been working tirelessly for the past 40 years for the Revival & spread of Indian Classical Music. Dr. Vasantrao Deshpande Memorial Foundation organizes "Diwali Pahat Maifil" on the first Day of Diwali (Narakchaturdashi).
This year, the 32nd year of Diwali Pahat is being organized on 20th October on 6:30 AM.
This Maifil includes classical & semi classical vocals by Bhagyesh Marathe (Grandson of Sangeet Bhooshan Pt. Raam Marathe). He has inherited the rich legacy of Pt. Raam Marathe’s Music and is widely known singer of young generation along with Bhakti Gokhale Page who is a renowned Singer - Actress.
