Encourage your little ones to better understand and express their emotions through an immersive journey of creative play, storytelling, and scientific exploration.
NMACC presents Emotions Lab, an interactive experience co-developed with Dadu, Children’s Museum of Qatar and Reliance Foundation, which transforms emotional learning into a playful and engaging activity, helping children build emotional awareness, confidence, empathy, and self-expression.
Inspired by the evidence-based RULER framework and Mood Meter concept developed by Dr. Marc Brackett and the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence, the exhibition introduces children to key emotional skills including recognising, understanding, labelling, expressing, and regulating emotions. Through technology- led interactions, collaborative games, and guided reflections, kids are encouraged to explore how feelings influence communication, perception, behaviour, and everyday interactions.
Across a series of immersive zones, visitors can engage with emotion-mapping activities, colour-based sensory installations, confidence-building interactive mirrors, empathy exercises, and movement- and breath-based techniques designed to support resilience and self-regulation. By transforming emotional exploration into active participation, the exhibit offers children practical tools they can carry into their daily lives.
Debuting at the Cultural Centre as part of NMACC Bachpan 2026, Emotions Lab builds on the success of Museum in Residence: Light Atelier (2025) – NMACC’s earlier collaboration with Qatar Museums – reflecting a growing partnership dedicated to creating innovative, museum-inspired learning experiences for young audiences in India and Qatar.
