About The Event
Back in 2014 when Assam reeled under devastating floods, renowned Bollywood singer Papon took an initiative to raise funds for the people of Assam through a musical evening called ‘For Assam.’
This time around, Earthful Foundation along with Hard Rock Cafe have taken the initiative and joined hands in providing relief to the people of Assam affected during the floods, and it’s after effects. Proceeds collected from the event will be given to Earthful Foundation.
30 out of 33 districts in Assam are still under water, resulting in a loss of 36 lives and nearly 54 lakh people displaced.
Numerous animals including the endangered one-horned rhinoceros have reportedly died in the floods. The current situation is far more severe as compared to the last and calls for a greater contribution from one and all.
Extending their support this year at #ForAssam 2019 are Vishal Dadlani, Shekhar Ravjiani, Benny Dayal, Aditi Singh Sharma, Shilpa Rao, Mohan Kanan, Meyang Chang, Richa Sharma etc along with Papon.
