Led and curated by acclaimed drummer Gino Banks, ‘Legacy’ celebrates the timeless music of legendary jazz pianist Louiz Banks, reimagining his rich musical world for a new generation. Bringing together voices from Hindustani, Carnatic, and contemporary Western traditions, the project bridges memory and modernity through bold, fresh interpretations that honor a remarkable musical inheritance while opening it to new possibilities.
With Gino Banks on drums, Pratik Shrivastava on sarod, S. Akash on flute, Jyothishri Raghuram on vocals, Deivat Tapodhan on keyboards, Aditya Ahir on bass and Ganesh Murali Iyer on mridangam, the ensemble creates a vibrant fusion experience shaped by legacy, collaboration, and contemporary sound.
