About The Event
Giuliana Soscia is one of Italy's best accordion players. She has performed with the SNJO-Scottish National Jazz Orchestra, la PMJO - Parco della Musica Jazz Orchestra, la Salerno Jazz Orchestra, Tommy Smith, Paolo Fresu, Maurizio Giammarco, Roberto De Simone, and Luis Bacalov.
The Giuliana Soscia Trio will be playing a show dedicated to female jazz composers at the NCPA Experimental Theatre. The concert will feature pieces composed by Grammy Award winner Maria Schneider, Giuliana Soscia, Carla Bley and American composer Toshiko Akiyoshi among others.
On the leg of her India tour, she will perform with double bass player Francesco Angiuli and drummer/percussionist Pasquale Fiore.
