About The Event
You paint a night sky full of floating lanterns. Then we wire it up, the lights come on behind the canvas, and every lantern you painted starts to glow.
The scene is a lake after dark. Deep blue clouds, a full moon, mountains in the distance, a boy in a boat watching hundreds of paper lanterns drift up. Our host takes you through the whole thing step by step, from blocking in the night sky to the warm amber halos that make the lanterns feel lit from within.
Then the fun part. Tiny LEDs go in behind the canvas, lined up with the lanterns you painted. Lights off in the room, lights on in the painting, and the flat canvas turns into something you will not want to stop looking at.
