About The Event
The 2025 film adaptation of Hamlet is a modern reimagining of Shakespeare's classic set within London's elite British South Asian community.
After returning home for his father's funeral, Prince Hamlet (Riz Ahmed) is shocked to discover that his mother has quickly married his uncle, Claudius. His suspicions are confirmed when he is visited by the ghost of his father, who reveals that he was brutally murdered by Claudius. This revelation sends Hamlet spiralling into a quest for vengeance that exposes the corruption at the heart of his family's empire and threatens his own sanity.
