About The Event
Most writing workshops teach craft. Some talk about inspiration. ‘Inside the Story’ is built on the belief that neither alone is enough, and that the tension between them is where good writing lives.
This is not a typical workshop. This is a ‘writing lab’, where we experiment with story writing.
We will come up with ideas, and by the end of the session, we will have the first draft of a story to take back.
About Nihal Parashar:
Nihal Parashar is a writer, screenwriter, and playwright known for his sharp, character-driven storytelling rooted in contemporary India. A former journalist, he works across theatre, film, and long-form fiction. His play ‘Patna Ka Superhero’ premiered at Prithvi Theatre in August 2022, and since then has travelled extensively in India.
His short story collection by the same name was published in early 2024 by Hind Yugm.
His debut novel, ‘Left Right Left’, was published in early 2025, and since then has been part of various bestselling lists on Amazon.
Nihal lives in Mumbai.
