Kochi-Muziris Biennale is India`s largest contemporary art exhibition held every two years in Fort Kochi, Kerala, India. The fourth edition of the Kochi-Muziris Biennale, titled Possibilities for a Non-Alienated Life, curated by Anita Dube, opens on 12 December 2018 and remains on view until 29 March 2019.
Organised by the Kochi Biennale Foundation, this Biennale will include and bring together practices from the political and cultural margins of contemporary life. There will be over 90 participating artists from more than 30 countries, with works spread across 10 venues. In addition to the main Biennale exhibition, the Foundation will also host the Student`s Biennale and the Pepper House Residency. There is also an exciting line-up of performances, screenings, and discussions throughout the 108 days of the Biennale.
Visitors to the Biennale come from all walks of life, including dignitaries from the government, key academics, international scholars, opinion leaders and senior practitioners from the fields of art, architecture, design, literature, and film, and many tourists and locals. Also, students from art schools, school children, and college students, and teachers from local schools to international institutions.
