Kochi-Muziris Biennale is India's largest contemporary art exhibition held every two years in Fort Kochi, Kerala, India. The fourth edition of the Kochi-Muziris Biennale, titled Possibilities for a Non-Alienated Life, curated by Anita Dube, opens on 12 December 2018 and remains on view until 29 March 2019. 


 Organised by the Kochi Biennale Foundation, this Biennale will include and bring together practices from the political and cultural margins of contemporary life. There will be over 90 participating artists from more than 30 countries, with works spread across 10 venues.  In addition to the main Biennale exhibition, the Foundation will also host the Students' Biennale and the Pepper House Residency. There is also an exciting line-up of performances, screenings, and discussions throughout the 108 days of the Biennale. 

 

Visitors to the Biennale come from all walks of life, including dignitaries from the government, key academics, international scholars, opinion leaders and senior practitioners from the fields of art, architecture, design, literature, and film, and many tourists and locals. Also, students from art schools, school children, and college students, and teachers from local schools to international institutions.

  • This ticket is issued on behalf of the Kochi Biennale Foundation responsible for the event and is subject to the following terms and conditions:
  • All persons above the age of 3 should have a ticket for entry to the Biennale.
  • The Ticket should be produced at the time of entry for validation. Entry will not be allowed if security features are tampered with.
    Please retain the ticket in its working condition until the end of its validity as mentioned on the ticket.
  • The organizer reserves the right of admission and frisking for security reasons at any point. The person causing any damage to any artwork will be held responsible and shall have to pay a fine equivalent to the market value of the artwork, assessed by the Kochi Biennale Foundation.
  • Professional recording devices, flammable, toxic, illegal or hazardous substances, firecrackers, fireworks, weapons or any other article which might endanger or unduly annoy any other person are not allowed inside the venues.
  • The organizer does not take any responsibility for injuries, loss or theft of any personal belongings of the ticket holder.
    Smoking and drinking are strictly prohibited within the Biennale venues.
  • Any person trying to enter the areas demarcated for the artworks, or performing any action that leads to any danger to the exhibits shall lead to immediate removal of the person from the venue at the discretion of the organizer.
  • This ticket shall not be exchanged/ceded/sold or transferred whether in a commercial or promotional context.
  • The ticket holder shall not engage in any form of commercial activity or marketing of any product or service within the exhibition venues without the permission of the Organisers.
  • Though reasonable efforts have been taken to ensure the safety and comfort of the spectators during the Biennale, the organizer disclaims any responsibility for any loss or damage whatsoever caused to the property of the visitor.
  • The authorities have the right to take action against any misconduct.
