Korea Story Festival: Korean Cinema in Mumbai
The Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Mumbai is pleased to announce Korea Week 2026 in Mumbai, a special series of cultural, culinary, cinematic, financial, and diplomatic events.
Korea Week 2026 will commence with the Korea Story Festival at Auditorium 1 of the National Museum of Indian Cinema (NMIC), in collaboration with the National Film Development Corporation of India (NFDC).
The festival shall consist of two screenings open to the general public:
- Assassination, an action drama set during Korea's independence movement
- I Can Speak, a moving film that explores friendship, personal memories, and the courage to speak up
Along with a memorable film experience, the audience can enjoy complimentary refreshments and snacks.
This film festival is designed to introduce Mumbai audiences to the narrative range of Korean cinema, and the historical and social experiences that have shaped modern Korea.
