It gives us immense pride to present Magical Pancham, an extraordinary musical extravaganza honouring the unparalleled genius of R.D. Burman – Pancham Da. His visionary compositions not only revolutionised the soundscape of Indian cinema but continue to resonate across generations. This majestic celebration will take place on Sunday, 4th January 2026, at 7:00 PM, at the illustrious SRI SHANMUKHANANDA CHANDRASEKARENDRA SARASWATHI AUDITORIUM
We are privileged to welcome the LEGENDARY ACTRESS Ms. Reena Roy as our Guest of Honour. She will grace the evening with rare insights and heartfelt memories from the iconic film Sanam Teri Kasam, for which Pancham Da received his first-ever Filmfare Award—a milestone that remains a testament to his musical brilliance.
We are equally honoured by the presence of Ms. Padmini Kolhapure, one of Indian cinema’s finest performers, who has been part of several memorable films enriched by R.D. Burman’s timeless melodies. Her association with Pancham Da—through cherished works such as Zamane ko dikhana hai , lovers, hum hai lajawab,mazdoor and swamidada—adds a deeply nostalgic and emotional dimension to this tribute.
Following this powerful tribute, we are honoured to feature renowned sitarist Ms. Kalyani Deshpande, celebrated for her soulful artistry and mastery of classical expression. With her exquisite command over melody and emotion, Ms.
Deshpande will present a serene and evocative sitar offering, capturing the essence of Pancham Da’s musical brilliance through the delicate beauty of Indian classical music. Her performance will bring a sublime balance of tradition and innovation—qualities that echo deeply with the musical spirit of R.D. Burman.
