Meet Suvendu Mukhopadhyay
Suvendu Mukhopadhyay is an award winning Mime Exponent, Choreographer, Acro Balance and Aerial Artiste, Thespian and Theatre Educator with over 25 years of experience.
Suvendu Da is one of the most eminent mime artists in India today. A worthy disciple of legendary Sri Jogesh Dutta, he has elevated the millennia old art form of mime to a new level through his innovative performances. His acting, movement, design, overall performance is so powerful and evocative that it completely captivates the audience not just through its uniqueness but also for its emotional quotient.
Suvendu Da won the topmost award in Mime National Youth Festival. He is the first student of Rabindra Bharati University to represent Indian mime in SAARC Youth Festival. He was awarded the National Scholarship and the National Fellowship by the Govt of India. He has worked in films by well known directors like Goutam Ghosh, Rituparno Ghosh, Nitish Roy and Suman Mukhopadhyay. At present, he is faculty at the prestigious The Heritage School, Kolkata.
After scores of much loved theatre and movie performances and hundreds of successful shows all over the world, Suvendu Da is bringing his magical art form to Gurgaon in an introductory session designed for children and the young-at-heart.
