Marta Pereira da Costa is the world's first professional female Portuguese guitarist in the traditional genre of Fado, and has been described as "the feminine soul of the Portuguese guitar". An acclaimed instrumentalist and composer, she blends the soul of Portuguese Fado with influences from jazz and world music, captivating audiences worldwide with expressive performances that celebrate Portugal's rich musical heritage.
Joining her are Joao Jose Pita Junior, a Brazilian guitarist, music producer, and educator based in Lisbon, and Carlos Antunes, one of Portugal's leading drummers and educators. Both are internationally acclaimed musicians who have collaborated with renowned artists across the Lusophone music scene and performed extensively at prestigious festivals and concert venues around the world. Together, the trio creates an evocative musical journey that bridges tradition and modernity, celebrating the depth, emotion, and enduring spirit of Portuguese music.
