Experience the rare magic of a sitar-sarod jugalbandi with the Mohan Brothers, joined by tabla and mridangam in an evening of classical mastery, rhythm and musical conversation.
Once a celebrated concert tradition, the sitar-sarod duet is now rarely experienced on the Indian classical stage. This concert revives that legacy through the true spirit of jugalbandi — a musical dialogue shaped by listening, exchange and improvisation.
Internationally acclaimed as the Mohan Brothers, Lakshay Mohan on sitar and Aayush Mohan on sarod bring together two of Indian classical music’s most demanding instruments in a performance marked by balance, depth and shared musical instinct. Belonging to the distinguished Maihar Gharana, the duo has performed at leading venues and festivals across the world for over 15 years, earning recognition for their synchronised playing, serious musical approach and rare command over the sitar-sarod form.
For this concert, the Mohan Brothers will present some of their finest repertoire, celebrating the richness of Indian classical music through melody, rhythm and improvisation. They are joined by Satyajit Talwalkar on tabla and Rohit Prasad on mridangam, adding rhythmic depth to an evening of tradition, virtuosity and musical dialogue.
