Mumbai Drum Day 2026 brings together the many colours, cultures and conversations of rhythm. Curated by Gino Banks, this year’s edition is a vibrant showcase of how percussion transcends borders uniting classical traditions, contemporary drum set artistry, global influences and the expressive power of movement.
For 2026, A Tapestry of Taal celebrates the many dialects of rhythm: the intricate mathematical poetry of Indian Taal, the powerful pulse of modern drum set vocabulary, the fiery accents of world percussion, and the fluid storytelling of dance. Each artist represents a distinct musical lineage, creating a collective narrative that is both rooted and radically fresh.
The evening features a dynamic and diverse lineup virtuosic soloists, a trailblazing female drummer, a prodigious child drummer, and globally acclaimed performers coming together on one stage for an unforgettable rhythmic journey.
