About The Event
"Oasis for Art" is an initiative by The Trialogue Company where artists from various streams of performing arts are invited to bring their creative and exploratory works to the audience in an intimate baithak format. This is an effort to also bring these beautiful Indian art forms to the audience so that they can know and understand these forms closely in an interactive and intimate set-up. The aim is also to promote and popularize ticket culture in the field of classical arts so that artists can become self sufficient while growing in their creative journeys.

14th Aug, 7:30 p.m. - Dhrupad recital by Niloy Ahsan (Avant-Garde Euphonies : Raag Tribhinna Kauns and Chalnāti Malhar)
20th Aug, 7:30 p.m. - Bhakti Rasa by Sriparna Nandi (Celebrating the essence of nirgun & sagun bhakti with texts of Sant Meerabai, Raidas, Surdas and Sant Kabir Das.)
21st Aug, 4:30 p.m. - Ritu Raag Rasa by Sriparna Nandi (Celebrating monsoons or saawan with raag based songs, kajri, jhoola and texts of Amir Khusrau.)
21st Aug, 7:30 p.m. - Bhakti Rasa by Sriparna Nandi (Celebrating the essence of nirgun & sagun bhakti with texts of Sant Meerabai, Raidas, Surdas and Sant Kabir Das.)
About Niloy Ahsan
A 21st generation practitioner of the majestic Dagar lineage, Niloy Ahsan is an unconventional vocalist, mastering a distinctive repertoire, in-depth understanding of traditional and classical styles of Dhrupad, Dhamar and Khayal. By integrating the symmetry between Dagarvani Dhrupad and Sadharani Geeti, Niloy has emerged as one of the finest Dhrupad vocalists of our time. His music is exquisite, explosive and yet soul-searching.
He was initiated into music by his father at the age of 4. He has been trained extensively by stalwarts- Padma Shri Ustad Wasifuddin Dagar and Padma Shri Gundecha Brothers. He has also been trained in the Agra Gharana and Indore-Kirana Gharana Khayal Gayaki.
In October 2021 he was invited by the legendary composer A. R. Rahman to collaborate with Firdaus Orchestra in Expo 2020 in Dubai, UAE. His collaboration with eminent jazz maestro Vycheslav Guyvoronsky came out as albums `around silence` in 2013 in London, UK and `Dodecameron` in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
About Sriparna Nandi
A Hindustani Classical & a semi classical vocalist from New Delhi. Alongwith khayal gayaki she is well versed in other semi classical forms such as thumri, dadra, ghazals and bhajans. She has to her credit many compositions of the texts written by Meerabai, Sant Kabir Das, Tulsidas and others.
She has received her initial training in music from her mother Smt. Minati Nandi & thereafter continued to train with renowned vocalist Shubha Mudgal ji for many years.
She has performed at many prestigious festivals all over India such as Yoga Festival Rishikesh, Baajaa Gaajaa Festival, NH7 Poona and many more. She regularly performs at baithaks organised by music connoisseurs in New Delhi & has recently represented India at the International Music & Dance festival In Prague, Czech Republic, sent by the Ministry of Culture, India.
