About The Event
Before you say your first line, the audience has already noticed you.
A seasoned performer across theatre and screen, Tannaz Irani brings years of live-performance experience to a masterclass about what it really means to be on stage, prepared for the performance, the audience, and the unexpected.
About the Masterclass:
Performing on stage is very different from performing in front of a camera. There are no retakes, no second chances, and sometimes, things simply don’t go as planned.
What happens if you forget a line? What if your co-actor misses a cue? What if a prop doesn’t work, the music starts late, a technical glitch happens, or the audience reacts in a way you weren’t expecting?
This masterclass with Tannaz Irani explores the complete experience of being a live performer, from walking onto the stage with confidence to handling the unexpected without breaking the flow of a performance.
Drawing from her own experiences on stage, she will speak about stage awareness, presence, timing, improvisation, audience connection, body language, voice, energy, working with co-actors and recovering when something goes wrong.
The session will also look at one of the most important skills a live performer can develop: the ability to stay present, think on your feet and keep the performance alive — no matter what happens around you.
A practical and engaging session for actors, performers and anyone who wants to understand what it really takes to own a live stage.
Not just how to be on stage — but how to own it.
