A once dry Puttenahalli Lake in south Bengaluru now brims with water and teems with life. Its citizen custodians, PNLIT, are celebrating this with a Carnatic vocal concert by Padma Bhushan Sudha Ragunathan at the MLR Convention Hall, next door to the lake, on Sat. 25th Feb. 2017 from 6.30 p.m.
Sangita Kalanidhi Sudha Ragunathan is one of India's foremost Carnatic vocalists, the only one after Bharat Ratna M.S. Subbulakshmi to have performed at the United Nations, on 2nd Oct. 2016. She is also a philanthropist who supports a wide range of causes. They are proud to have her associate with them for lake conservation.
'Without music, life would be a mistake,' said Neitzsche. 'Without water, there would be no life,' they say. Through this concert, they want to promote environment awareness and the need for individuals to save water and water bodies. Join them in this campaign for water for all, forever.
