Presented by Shankarananda Kalakshetra and directed by Dr. Ananda Shankar Jayant, this dance theatre production reimagines some of the most loved stories from the Panchatantra through a blend of conventional and contemporary movement styles.
Set within an enchanted forest, the performance explores timeless themes of friendship, bravery, leadership, cleverness, freedom, and foolishness through memorable characters including a clever rabbit, a curious monkey, a wise dove, a talkative tortoise, and a quick-witted monkey who outsmarts a crocodile.
Featuring an original lyric-free score by Prema Ramamurthy, English narration by Jayant Dwarkanath and costumes by Ganesh Nallari, the production combines rhythm, humour, and expressive movement to create an engaging experience for audiences of all ages.
The works has travelled widely across India and internationally, including performances at the Festival of India in Russia, Edinburgh Mela, Greece, and the Busan Dance Festival in Korea.
