Anand Bhate is one of the most promising artists in the new generation of the Kirana tradition. He had the privilege of being a disciple of the legendary vocalist Bharat Ratna Bhimsen Joshi. At the Age of 10, Anand was honoured with the title 'Anand Gandharva' in 1981. He won the MIFTA Award for the best playback singer in 2011.
