Let Ustad Munawwar Masoom and Suvarna Tiwari lead you into a world where the poetry of Hazrat Amir Khusrow resonates through the soulful depths of Sufi music and classical tradition.
The poetry of Hazrat Amir Khusrow finds new resonance in an evening of Sufi music led by Ustad Munawwar Masoom. Drawing from the rich traditions of Hindustani classical and Sufi music, ‘Rang-E-Khusro’ presents a selection of kalaams exploring love, longing, surrender, and the search for the divine.
A celebrated vocalist of the Mewati gharana, Ustad Munawwar Masoom brings decades of musical experience shaped by rigorous classical training, deep engagement with Sufi thought, and an acclaimed career spanning recordings, radio, and performances across India and abroad.
He is joined by Suvarna Tiwari, a versatile vocalist trained in classical, semi-classical, and light music, whose repertoire spans film, web series, devotional, folk, and contemporary music. She is currently deepening her practice in Sufi music and ghazals under Ustad Masoom’s guidance.
Together, they interpret Khusrow's timeless verses through musical renditions that illuminate their emotional depth and spiritual resonance. Rooted in the expressive traditions of Sufi music, the performance offers audiences an immersive journey into the enduring poetic legacy of one of India's greatest mystic poets.
