First time in India, Thai-born, Canada-based drummer and Juno-nominated producer Salin brings her inventive sound to The Studio Theatre stage with ‘Salin Live!’. A rising artist and composer in modern world jazz, she arrives with her self-coined style Afro-Isan Soul, a dynamic fusion of Northeast Thailand’s melodic traditions and the psychedelic groove of 70s West Africa, shaped through contemporary, soulful production.
Salin’s music thrives on bridging cultures with warmth, curiosity, and rhythm. Her live set moves through hypnotic percussion, shimmering Thai timbres, and bass-forward grooves, offering a soundscape that is both global in spirit and deeply rooted in her personal exploration of identity, spirituality, and community.
Fresh from performances at Chanel’s Summer Tour in Bangkok and the Montreal International Jazz Festival, and currently crafting her second full-length album with musicians across Thailand and Canada, Salin brings to India a show defined by connection, experimentation, and joy.
