Join us for an exquisite Bharatanatyam recital by Anand CS, presenting "Śaiva-Vaiṣṇavam," a captivating exploration of compositions dedicated to the divine figures Hari (Vishnu) and Hara (Shiva). This evocative performance, choreographed by the esteemed Guru Sri RLV Subesh, will weave together traditional melodies and intricate dance sequences to celebrate the spiritual essence of these revered deities.
The evening will feature a selection of four meticulously crafted pieces:
"Ananda Narthana" in Raga Nattai and Adi Tala, composed by Oothukkadu Venkata Subbaiyar (9 mins)
"Konjum Salangai" in Raga Lathangi and Adi Tala, composed by Madurai R Muralidharan (28 mins)
