It is traditionally said, Bengalis have "Baromashe Tero Parban`, loosely translated means thirteen festivals in Twelve months, each one of these festivals celebrate a facet of the true `Bangaliana` , the ethos of Bengal.
"Sholoana Bangaliana" as the name suggests is a celebration in totality, of all that is quintessentially Bengali. Our love for music, poetry, songs, dramatic and of course, food is known globally. No Bengali celebration is complete without a generous dose of the above.
Poila Boishakh is the facet of the Bangali New year. Naturally it calls for a grand celebration and for Bengalis it is as less a festival than the "Durga Puja`. They put on their festive best and congregate with family and friends to celebrate with.adda over music, drama, poetry and `Panktibhoj`.... community dinner with traditional Bengali cuisine .Like thé years this year too we are organising `Poila Baishakhe Sholana Bangaliana` to celebrate the Bengali New Year oh 14th April, 2024 at Naziul firtha, `New Towh. We provide on areas for people to come and enjoy traditional Bangaliana, through our own rich culture.
