About The Event
Originally from India, conductor Maria Badstue trained with the legendary Jorma Panula and now lives, conducts, and teaches in Denmark. The concert opens with Vaughan Williams' beloved Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis, transforming a Tudor hymn into a soaring masterpiece for strings. Mozart's sublime Sinfonia Concertante in E-flat major, K. 364, features distinguished French violinist Nicolas Dautricourt alongside violist Loan Cazal, whose career has included principal positions with several renowned European orchestras. The programme concludes with one of Haydn's most dramatic symphonies, the powerful La Passione.
