About The Event

As part of Attakkalari India Biennial 2024, the grand world preview of Sparks Mahabharata Opera Project Mantras, Fights & Threnody, produced by Kama Productions with Ensemble MusikFabrik, in collaboration with Attakkalari Centre for Movement Arts, presents a unique musical theatre experience based on the revered Indian epic Mahabharata. Set to the composition of maestro Riccardo Nova, directed by Giorgio Barberio Corsetti and choreographed by Jayachandran Palazhy, the 70 minutes production promises an enthralling display of artistic brilliance. This contemporary interpretation of selected sections of Mahabharata embarks on a European tour afterwards, gracing the esteemed Roma Europa Festival among others.
