The grand Bharatanatyam dance production “Sri Srinivasa Parinaya” portrays the divine wedding of Lord Venkateshwara, the presiding deity of the Seven Hills and the beloved Lord of the Kali Yuga. Based on the narrative from the Bhavishyottara Purana, this presentation beautifully unfolds the story of Sage Bhrigu’s test of the Divine Trinity, Goddess Lakshmi’s departure from Vaikuntha, Lord Hari’s descent to Earth, the devoted service of Bakuladevi, the divine love between Srinivasa and Padmavati, the enchanting episode of the Koravanji, and finally, the magnificent celestial wedding of Lord Srinivasa and Goddess Padmavati.
