Stella Chen the multi prize-winning violinist makes her debut in Mumbai this month. Stella is the first prize winner of the prestigious Queen Elisabeth Competition 2019 in

Belgium where she has been lauded for her “phenomenal maturity” and “fresh and spontaneous, yet emotionally profound and intellectually well-structured performance”.  She is also the top prize winner of the Tibor Varga International Violin competition, the Robert Levin Award for gifted undergraduate musicians from Harvard University and the youngest ever prize winner of the Menuhin Competition.  Stella’s former teachers include the world-renowned Itzhak Perlman and Miriam Fried.  She is currently a doctoral candidate at the Juilliard School of Music.

The 2019/20 season will see her performing in multiple cities in Europe and the USA and in Korea and Japan, Stella plays on a 1708 Stradivarius violin which has been generously loaned to her by the Nippon Music Foundation.

 

Boris Kusnezow made his debut at the Carnegie Hall in 2009 after winning the German Music Competition Prize. Boris had his grounding in music at the renowned Gnessin Academy after which he completed his studies in Germany.  Boris has won numerous international competitions and has multiple CD recordings to his credit. Apart from Carnegie Hall, New York, his performances have taken him to major concert venues such as the Mariinsky Theatre in St Petersburg the Kioi Hall in Tokyo, the Munich Gasteig and the Berlin Philharmonie. Apart from solo performances, he has developed a passion for chamber music and performs worldwide in various chamber music ensembles and with notable soloists.  He currently lives and teaches in Hannover.
