Treat your loved ones to a unique presentation of this Kuchipudi dance drama-style production of the timeless fairytale, ‘Beauty and the Beast’, by the talented danseuses of Kalanidhi Dance group, founded by award-winning dancer Anuradha Nehru. In this rendition of the classic, a lovely Sundari finds herself trapped in an enchanted castle ruled by a terrifying beast. But as she gets to know the castle’s secrets, and those of its enigmatic owner, she discovers a whole new world of emotions – emotions that take the audience on their own roller coaster ride. Choreographed in ‘Kalapam’ style with an original musical score, this East-meets-West production is bound to mesmerise your senses in a cultural showcase like no other.
Kalanidhi Dance is an internationally recognised dance company that performs classical and original works using the timeless visual vocabulary of Kuchipudi, one of eight Indian Classical dance forms. It has presented its work across India and around the world in Kennedy Centre for Performing Arts, Wolf Trap Performing Arts Centre, The Smithsonian, and many more prestigious venues.
