Caste is not a Rumour - Gau rakshaks in Gujarat tie Dalits to a car and flog them with iron rods and sticks. The crime? Skinning a dead cow. Caught on a phone camera, the video leads to spontaneous protests, threatening to coalesce into an uprising.
Makers - Naomi Shah and Pourush Turel.

When All Land is Lost, Do We Eat Coal? - A coal mine in Central India is set to become one of Asia's largest. At the heart of this aspiration lies the largest democracy's disregard for consent. Power grids are the umbilical cords linking urban lifestyle to indigenous displacement.
Makers - Faiza Ahmed Khan and Aruna Chandrashekhar.

Right To Pray - For over four centuries, no woman has entered the Trimbakeshwar's inner sanctorum. When the fear of heaven and hell fails, the threat of mob violence looms over the activists, who are determined to break the taboo.
Maker - Khushboo Ranka.

Inside Dangal - The life of legendary wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat was recently the subject of a Bollywood blockbuster Dangal, and an official biography Akhada. The 55-year- old has revolutionised the world of Indian sports by putting female wrestlers on the international map. In Balali village in Haryana, a state infamous for rampant female foeticide and low literacy rates, Phogat had to battle not just deep social stigma and an apathetic government, but also a disapproving family and personal tragedy to train the girls in the sport. Saurabh Duggal, the official biographer of Phogat, was with the family as they watched their daughters compete in the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Submerged - The number of those displaced due to environmental disasters in India is six times the number displaced by conflict. Climate change and defective government policies are precipitating one of the largest exoduses of migrant labour in the world.
Maker - Nishtha Jain.

Dhaakad - Behind The Scenes . Watch the making of the blockbuster song Dhaakad in VR.
Zain Memon is the creative director of all these films!
