About The Event
Pandit Bhimsen Joshi, a Bharat Ratna awardee, remains one of the most revered figures in Indian classical music. His contribution to the Kirana Gharana and his ability to connect classical music with audiences across generations have left an indelible mark on India’s cultural heritage.
Surotsav is envisioned as a musical homage celebrating his legacy through a soulful classical vocal recital by Pandit Anand Bhate, one of the foremost disciples of Pandit Bhimsen Joshi, carrying forward the rich traditions of the Kirana Gharana.
