The renowned Indian Classical violinist, Dr. Sangeeta Shankar, started learning at the tender age of four under the unparalleled tutelage of her mother and Guru, Dr. Smt. N. Rajam.
She first performed on television when she was barely 8 years old, then she began accompanying her mother at the age of 13 and eventually gave a full-fledged debut solo performance when she was as young as 16.
Receiving great appreciation for her performance, her career began forging ahead and it wasn't long before she made a mark in the Indian classical music industry.
Dr. Sangeeta Shankar has performed across India and numerous countries across the globe. She has a number of albums to her credit - including a Grammy nomination.
