Based on the 8 Prahars (time spans) of the day, this Indian Classical Music concert features morning ragas of the 2nd Prahar performed by various artistes.
Sangeeta Katti Kulkarni Vocal
Sangeeta Katti, born in the musical heartland of Dharwad, is an acclaimed Hindustani classical musician. With an impressive repertoire spanning Bhajans, Vachanas, Dasavani, Abhangs, Bhavageet, folk music and playback singing, she has performed extensively across India.
A versatile artiste, she sings in nine languages and is an ‘A’ grade performer in both Classical and semi-classical music on All India Radio. A chemistry graduate with a flair for languages, Sangeeta Katti is the proud recipient of the prestigious Suvarna Karnataka Rajyotsava Award (2006–07), the highest civilian honour bestowed by the Karnataka State Government.
