The last Sunday of September is International Deaf Day, a day when the world spares a thought for those who have a hearing disability. Vaani, is an NGO that has dedicated all their efforts for helping deaf children live a life with joy and full freedom. On 24th September, the eve of International Deaf Day, a few organizations and a Delhi based fusion band are coming together to give Bangalore a unique musical experience. Vaani - Sound of the Soul, an event that will help generate funds for Vaani in their endeavour to enrich the lives of deaf children. Swararambh, a music school in association with generous corporate bodies is presenting a fusion band of international repute, Adavita to Bangalore. Advaita have been featured on reputable shows like MTV Coke Studio and MTV Unplugged, won the Global Indian Music Award for the best rock album of the year in 2012, and also earned multiple nominations for the Jack Daniels Rock Awards in 2013. One of their compositions also featured in the recent Hindi feature film, Wazir. The entire ticket proceeds of this event will go to the NGO Vaani for the cause of supporting deaf children.
