About the movie
When a 13-year-old Briony Tallis sees her elder sister Cecilia with her boyfriend Robbie, who also happens to be the family`s servant`s son, in an intimate embrace, she is perplexed and fails to understand it. In the meantime, one of her cousins is raped for which Briony falsely accuses Robbie, separating Cecilia and him. Upon growing up, the aspiring writer realizes her mistakes and writes about it in an attempt to apologize for her grave mistake.
