About the movie
Director Christian Carion`s Merry Christmas is based on a true story where French, Scottish and German troops bury their dead and their differences to celebrate the birth of Jesus. The Christmas Day truce sees soldiers cheering one another, singing 3 different national anthems, singing carols together, and sharing chocolates and wine, and playing football on No Man`s Land, oblivious to the impending consequences of the celebration.
