Mrs. Ratcliffe`s Revolution
About the movie
The movie is based on a true story about a communist family trying to defect to East Germany. The Ratcliffes believe it to be the promised land that will give them dignity, hope and simple socialist principles. But the Marxist Utopia turns into a nightmare when they find censorship, rationing and incessant spying upon. But the revolution begins when Mrs Ratcliffe strikes up a friendship with a young boy and decides to help him escape to the West.
