About the movie
Kathleen Quigley, a soft-spoken Irish schoolteacher is shocked to learn that her son, Gerard is arrested for his involvement in the Irish Republican Army. In the prison, Gerard goes on a hunger strike and Kathleen who constantly worries about her son form an unlikely friendship to get him out.
