Filmmaker Adesh Prasad started his Bollywood journey as an assistant director, working in movies like Raat Gayi, Baat Gayi? (2009), LSD: Love, Sex Aur Dhokha (2010) and the internationally acclaimed Ship of Theseus (2013) early on in his career. The last of these also saw Adesh making his editorial debut.
In 2018, he co-directed the historical period horror movie Tumbbad along with Rahi Anil Barve, for which he also co-wrote the screenplay.
