A seasoned stage artist with an Obie Award win and a Tony Award nomination to his credit, Brian d`Arcy James is an American actor and musician. Since his Broadway debut in 1993, he has appeared in acclaimed plays like Titanic (1997), Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (2004), Shrek The Musical (2008) and Hamilton (2015).
Besides his work on stage, James has also made his mark in Hollywood through well-received supporting roles in the fantasy comedy Ghost Town (2008), the biographical drama Spotlight (2015) and the crime drama Molly`s Game (2017). The musical drama tv series Smash (2012-`13) and the teen drama 13 Reasons Why (2017-) are among the actor`s notable television credits. In 2018, James essayed the role of NASA astronaut Joseph A. Walker in the biographical drama First Man, which was directed by Damien Chazelle and featured Ryan Gosling in the lead role. His 2019 release includes The Kitchen.
