His accolades include a win in the Cinema Writers Circle Awards, Spain for The Orphanage. He also bagged an award in the International Film Music Critics Association Awards for Film Music Composition of the Year for The Impossible, along with numerous nominations. He also won the Spanish Music Award for his score in The Orphanage.
