Hailing from Mumbai, Karthik Palani is a young talented cinematographer. After completing his undergraduate degree in physics, he went on to do a Diploma in Film Technology (Cinematography) in FiIm & Television Institute of Tamilnadu. Thereafter he assisted DOP S. Tirru, a director of photography. He worked with him on several films including Aakrosh (2010), Krrish 3 (2013), 24 (2016), Janata Garage (2016), Bharat Ane Nenu (2018) and Petta (2019). He has credits from the Hindi, Malayalam, Telugu and Tamil film industries. He also assisted Tirru in more than 600 commercials, working with numerous production houses like Nirvana, Corcoise films, Bang Bang films and well-known brands including Hutch - Vodafone, Slice, KFC Krushers, and Tata Indicom. Later he went on to become an independent cinematographer and started working on commercials in Mumbai. His more recent works include movies like French Biryani (2020), Penguin (2020) , Adipurush (2023), Varisu (2023),The Raja Saab (2026) and several commercials and promos for Netflix.
