Lakshmi Gopalaswamy is an Indian film actress who primarily works in Malayalam, Kannada and Tamil films. She is a well known classical dancer who specializes in Bharatanatyam. She made her movie debut in the Lohithadas directorial, Arayannegalude Veedu (2000). Gopalaswami was cast opposite superstar Mammooty. Her well known movies include Kochu Kochu Santhoshangal (2000), Paradesi (2007), Keerthi Chakra (2006), Bhramaram (2009), Ividam Swargamanu (2009), Aaptharakshaka (2010) and Swapaanam (2014). Gopalaswami has won the Kerala State Film Award as the best supporting actor for her debut movie, Arayannangalude Veedu opposite Mammootty. She also won the Karnataka State Film Award for Best Actress for her performance in her Kannada film Vidaya (2015). Her 2017 projects include T. S. Nagabharana's, Allama and Vinod Mankara's Kamboji. She is also associated with the 2017 Tamil movie Aruvi directed by Arun Prabhu Purushothaman.
