Roopa Ganguly is an Indian actress, famous for her portrayal of Draupadi in Mahabharat and many other TV shows. Roopa shot to prominence with her roles in popular TV shows like Ganadevta and Sukanya. She also forayed into films during this time, appearing in her debut film, Kadana (1988). She then went on to act in both Hindi and Bengali films, which established her as a bankable leading lady. Some of her box office credits include Pyaar Ka Devta (1990), Inspector Dhanush (1991), Janani (1993) and Gopalaa (1995).

Post this, she took a hiatus from acting, and returned in 2000 with Bariwali. The film was a success, and Roopa followed it up with Anamni Angana (2002), Mahulbanir Sereng (2004), Nagordola (2005) and Antarmahal (2006). She returned to Bollywood once more, with the film Luck (2009), and then appeared in Abosheshey (2012). Roopa also appeared in the smash hit Barfi! (2012). Her most recent credits include Arshinagar (2015), Natoker Moto (2015) and Golmaal (2017).
