Vijay Dravid is an Indian percussionist and visual artist known by his stage name Vijay Percussionist. He began drumming at the age of seven and started his professional music career at 19. Trained in Carnatic music under Guru Shree Satish Krishnamurti, Vijay is proficient in over a dozen instruments, including drums, octopad, darbuka, and ghatam. He has toured extensively with his guru and performed at festivals like The Mumbai Fest and Girnar Mahotsav. A founding member of the band Laya Samudra, Vijay has collaborated with artists like DJ Rebirth and performed on platforms like Sony TV, Amazon Prime, and Yash Rajs The Traitors. Also a visual artist, he works in 3D art, painting, printmaking, and more, with numerous artworks to his credit.
