A popular Indian actor and producer, Vishal Krishna, better known by his screen name Vishal primarily works in the Tamil film industry. The son of renowned Tamil film producer G.K. Reddy, Vishal, a graduate in Visual Communications started his career in the film industry as an assistant to director Arjun. Vishal made his debut as the lead in the romantic thriller Chellamae (2004) and has delivered several hit films like Sandakozhi (2005), Thimiru (2006), Malaikottai (2007), Theeradha Vilaiyattu Pillai (2010), Poojai (2014), Thupparivaalan (2017), Villain (2017), Irumbuthirai (2018), Ayogya (2019), Action (2019) and Chakra (2021). Apart from acting, Vishal also has produced several films under the banner Vishal Film Factory

  • Sandakozhi 2 (2018) is the 25th film in actor Vishal's career.
  • For his 2011 movie Avan Ivan, Vishal Krishna Reddy had to sport about nine looks. That wasn’t the difficult part, the fact that his character had to squint throughout the movie, was the most difficult part about the movie for him. In a scene, Vishal had to ride a bike while squinting, but the actor couldn’t even see where he was going.
  • While filming Avan Ivan, Vishal faced too many issues because of his character’s squint. So much so that he had frequent headaches and pain in the eye. In order to ease the pain, the actor had taken to alcohol to a point where he would’ve turned an alcoholic.
  • Before making his acting debut in 2004, Vishal Krishna Reddy was seen on the big screen as a child artist in the 1989 movie Jadikketha Moodi, playing the role of a dancer.
  • Vishal has been the General Secretary of the Nadigar Sangam, which is officially known as the South Indian Artistes' Association, since 2015.
