Upstage Productions and Behroopiya Entertainers Presents 36, Defence Colony, The play that speaks Delhi. Delhi, a city by the side of the black relationship between power, preservation and pleasure provoking multiple aspirations and ambitions. Between these ambitions and aspirations, there exists a crude face of sabotaged emotions, hidden sadness and dormant rebellion. In all this, the chaos and clutter of exceeding expectations, some of us take another line of thought and diverge from God made course. Also, a hidden appetite of being unwinnable creates an enormous friction to human goodness and thus, some of us, somehow, do something which we should not have done. Crime.
That crime which thrives in the society for every criminal thinks he has the best 'plan'. But then, across the road, there is always someone watching, some one listening, some one evaluating your every brutal move. They are those who secure peripheries of our social obligations. They are those who, beyond unimaginable pain, bear the rage of circumstances and still join pieces to ensure justice. They are the Delhi Police. Written and directed by actor,mentor and trainer, Manil Mayank Mishra, 36, Defence Colony is an ode to duty, a journey and a definition to the upright officers of Delhi Police who time and again have proved the triumph of duty bound Police Officers.
