About The Event
"Aadhe-Adhure" is a drama composed by Mohan Rakesh that depicts contemporary life with meaningfulness. It refers to the serious sociological and psychological study of changes that have come and are continuously coming in our society, family, and individuals and their mutual relations. Its characters and situations, their problems and moods are peculiar as well as general too. On one level, it’s a documentation of attachment and tension between men and women, while on another level, it's an illustration of the incompleteness of human satisfaction. It depicts a disintegrating family in which each member is cut off from the other, slowly becoming poisonous to each other. Mahendranath, living on Savitri's earnings, is pathetic.
Ashok is waiting for an opportunity to get out of here while cutting pictures from magazines. Binni is in search of an answer to what haunts her even after she leaves. Mahendranath, Singhania, Jagmohan and Juneja—these are four men of different characters. Savitri chose Mahendranath, and she never felt fulfilled.
