About The Event
Ankahi is a Hindi stage adaptation inspired by The Woman in Black. It follows Sandeepan Chauhan, a lawyer haunted by a terrifying event from his past, who seeks a young actor’s help to turn his unspoken truth into a stage performance. As rehearsals unfold, Chauhan reenacts his memories of a disturbing journey to Sunderbans, where he encounters a mysterious Woman in Black and uncovers a tragic story of loss and vengeance. Using minimalist theatre, the line between acting and reality blurs, revealing that Chauhan’s trauma—and the supernatural curse tied to it—is not confined to memory but continues to haunt the present.
