About The Event
A turbulent journey with iconic American poetess Sylvia Plath Hughes: her ideological childhood, awkward adolescence fraught with nervous creative energy, her social persona and her inner demons and psychic imprisonment leading to her tragic suicide at the age of thirty. The price she paid for the constant pursuit of bitter fame: her hopes, her fears, her dreams; ridden with constant melancholy and her sheer resolute fury of existence. The superb identity- the self-hood of things as she imagined it and her body of work burdened with terrifying symbols of irresistible and inevitable finality.
